Larkin, I just wanted to thank you again for this lovely lovely gift that you have given us all. And to say what a difference in at least one life your work has made. When I showed up on the net I had just discovered that I had a few more years left than I had been led to believe. But in preparing myself for the transition I had forgotten how to live. I was in a daze and trying desperately to find some way to kickstart myself back into motion for I had done too good a job of letting go of life. The people that I met, the friendships that I made. The camraderie and joy in competition were what taught me how to live again. To all of you, I owe a debt that thanks cannot compass. But most especially and always Larkin, my debt is foremost to you. For whatever small worth it may have to you, know my friend, that this beautiful brainchild that you have created has touched not merely minds and hearts but one very weary and heartsick soul.

is it just me or does this seem to be one of the few cheery (cheerry?) places left in the forum? the "a game i played" thread seems to have turned into 1 gigantic flame war and i can't seem to see any other places without at least a little flaming

That's a sad but true fact, Fox. I wish it were different, and I know I've tried to alleviate some of the arguements, but it doesn't look like there's going to be a change anytime soon. So, I think I'm just going to stay out of the fights from now on.
We sometimes catch a window
A glimpse of what's beyond
Was it just imagination
Stringing us along?
More things than are dreamed about
Unseen and unexplained
We suspend our disbelief
And we are entertained
