Team Names?

Post by Platoon_Michael »

Looking at the WaR woorkbook it states that the team names are as follows.

Name:
Team name used in the Battle Group force pool list and in game for Team Monitor and mouse over. Max 32 char

Type Name:
Team name used in the Soldier Monitor team bar icon. Max 32 char

And
Full Name:
Team name used with Col 0 'Name' in the Battle Group team description window. Max 50 char

I'm curious as to where the Full Name shows up in the game as I don't seem to see that.

I also would like to know if Team Names,Soldier names can be repeated over and over and over again?

I.E.
Can you have Bazooka Team listed 10 times and it doesn't matter as long as the Class #'s are different?

Full Name is never used in-game. The workbook's Type Name header should read: "Team type name used with Col A 'Name' in the Battle Group screen team description window, and the Team type name used in Unit Status monitor.

The Column A 'Name' and Column B 'Type Name' combination are shown on your BG screen pic above. The 'Type Name' usage on the Unit Status monitor is shown on p. 37 in the game manual.

None of the CC workbooks are 100% definitive.

You can have 10 entries in *Teams.txt or Soldiers.txt identical except for class #.
