No he hasn't... not quite... well maybe?.
There is a supply route via Magnitogorsk or Kyubishev and Ufa, assuming that Caspian Sea port on the Ural works for supply.

So um.....you guys are telling me that all my dudes in and around Sevastapol may be out of supply? That's just fabulous. Maybe I can move them via port(s) to somewhere more westward and reform a front of sorts?

20.1.3. PORT SUPPLY
Except for tracing supplies over the Lake Ladoga zone, a port hex that borders a sea zone that allows strategic naval transport (i.e Baltic/Black Sea/See of Azov/Caspian Sea) that has at least one friendly port connected to the supply grid via rail will be considered connected to the supply grid. However, only the port hex is connected. Tracing from this port hex for supply purposes to a hex or unit can be done along friendly controlled, undamaged rail hexes (even though these rail hexes are considered not on the grid), if not leaving an enemy ZOC, without increasing the hexes from the rail. The MP cost will be increased by 1 for each such hex traced. If the hex traced to is next to an enemy unit 1 will be added to both the hex count and the MP count. This represents limited use of rails in these circumstances and better communications lines/roads along rails, thus allowing supply (although somewhat less than normal) via ports connected via these major waterways.
=====================================================
From this rule I believe supplies can get to Sevastapol, from Novorossiysk ( which has a port ), connected by rail to Baku ( which is a permanent supply point ).

RE: 1.04.30 Fulkerson vs KLilly T107
Um.........but if KLilly cuts the rail leading out ( north or west ) from Baku then supply for the Sevastopol troops is stopped.......I thought so anyway. So I gotta build some troops in Bacu ( rifle divisions I guess ) and send them north/west along the rails to keep them clear or else.......oh, geez, I don't even want to think about what happens to my troops in Sevastopol if the supply is cut. Probably, I'm not sure, if they are isolated they can't be disbanded and will just wither on the vine unless and until I relieve them or something. I guess.ORIGINAL: randallw

Baku is a permanent supply source. You will have the whole theater isolated, only if:
a) That thrust near Voroshilovgrad reached the southern map edge (thereby cutting Baku off from anything to the west) or
b) Baku falls
c) He takes every port on the Black Sea in the Caucausus

I keep looking at the map and have to say I don't see how you recover from this. Building a few rifle divisions from scratch at Baku may help put out one fire, but you have a series of them breaking out in all directions. Depending on your rail capacity, you might strip the front of units (Moscow area has some candidates) to form some fire brigades, but with your lines torn to shreds, a recovery now with the date around July '43 seems near impossible. What's your production look like?

Okie dokie.......the front seems to have semi-stabilized somewhat. It's turn 114 ( August 1943 ) and here's the front lines:

Here's the production screen for the Soviets: I notice that I have a bunch of tanks sitting in the pool and so I built a bunch of tank brigades intending to make them tank Corps when they mature here in a turn or two ( or several ).

RE: 1.04.30 Fulkerson vs KLilly T114
Here's the OOB. I've lost some 10+ Million men and still have a numerical advantage over KLilly. Maybe I can pull this out of the frying pan yet. I built a bunch more rifle divisions and they will be mature and ready for combat here in about three turns. I'll use them to extend the front lines or something. Maybe use them for reserves behind the weaker places in the lines.
EDIT: I have no idea what happened to the Italians. They just quit I guess.

You may want to try some cav or tank/mech raiding of his owned hexes, see if you can isolate some patches. He certainly can't have enough units to cover all that outline of his territory.

RE: 1.04.30 Fulkerson vs KLilly T114
I honestly think if it had gotten that bad Stalin would be looking for a new job, moral would be at the level they were just before the 1918 revolution and the Communist Party would be in dire straights. Those units around the Black Sea would pretty much evaporate. It looks worse than it did in 41 and they barely were able to hold things together then. There really needs to be some kind of Axis victory condition.

Probably a hard coded event. Maybe too many of those.
Oh, I know, Italy was invaded. [:D]

19.1.3. ITALIAN WITHDRAWAL
All Italian units will check for withdrawal from the game starting in May 1943. If an Italian unit is picked to withdraw, it will have its status changed to Withdrawing, be listed on the Reinforcement/Withdrawal screen and will be withdrawn four turns later. Italian units will continue to check for withdrawal each turn, resulting in all Italian units withdrawing within a period of several months.

RE: 1.04.30 Fulkerson vs KLilly T114
Kevin and I traded some emails wherein we decided to declare KLilly the winner of this contest and start over. There's lots of things KLilly would do differently and I certainly want to do things differently so we decided to start over and do things differently this time.

RE: 1.04.36 Fulkerson vs KLilly T5
Oh. Well........I didn't expect anybody to wish to see this AAR anymore and have neglected to report on the ongoing game that Kevin and I re-started. We're on turn 5 already. I just sent my turn 4 moves ( as the Soviet ) to the server. I guess I will continue this AAR as of the Soviet turn 5 and Thank You for your interest. I'll try to make more pithy, more complete comments. Stuff like I evacuated all of Kiev and was forced to leave 4 Heavy Industry in Gomel ( which is under threat of capture in turn 5 ) and I'm guessing Kevin knows this and is going to deprive me of 4 HI just because he can at this stage of things. Kevin did the heavy and fast rush in our last game and really taxed my ability to get the needed divisions to the front line and at the same time evacuate what industry I can before it's really really threatened because Kevin has surprized me before with semi-impossible movement points on his Panzers. Grabbed cities before I could put a guard in it, etc. So I'm hyper-sensitive to that this game. Kevin has made good progress on his advance this time and has made and gobbled up at least three small-sized pockets and has made it to the outskirts of Kiev in the South. Needless to say he's doing a LOT better this time than last time. He's learned a lot of what not to do so this time Kevin will be making a lot less errors and there will be a lot more efficiency out of the Axis forces than there was last time, etc. This will prove to be the better of the two games we will have played. I hope to do a much better AAR for you guys. You guys are why I do AAR's and if there's something you wish to know that I haven't published yet by all means lemme know so I can look it up or post an additional screenshot or something. I'm hoping that I can write it so you get some of the feeling of "watching over my shoulder" so to speak.ORIGINAL: cpt flam
