Campaign question: Will I have to repeat successful Sealion (40+42)?

Post by Prospero »

Hello everyone!

So far, my first grand campaign is doing great. I have scored one decisive victory after another.
At the moment, I am attempting my first Sealion '40.

But what will happen if

-> I score a marginal victory this time (Sealion '40)
-> move on to Barbarossa, make it a decisive victory
-> rush to Moscow, gain a decisive victory again ?

The campaign tree states, that the next mission will be... Sealion '42!
But at this stage I would already have defeated on their British homeland.
Will I have to do it again? Why? Did they drive me out of southern England while I was in Russia?
Please shed some light on that matter.

Kind regards,

Prospero

EDIT: Forgot to mention: GREAT GAME! Very nice work by the whole team. Graphics and Sound are good. Content is extraordinary. Game is stable and seems to be bug free. Congratulations to all of you!!!

You scored a victory but didn't defeat them for that you needed a decisive victory.
You faild to secure a foot hold in south england in time, as results reinforcement form the north arrived before you were fully dug-in.  The resulting a counter-attack drove your forces back to the sea.
No worries you got a second and finial try. :)
