Tips for former PG players

Post by greykemp@gmail.com »

Stukas are NOT great. OK but not great. OVERRUN does NOT exist. You are NOT going to supress and run riot with no losses. Get used to it. It is a RARE combat where you take no losses. I don't care what the odds are. Prestige is NOT cheap. Forget replacing losses with Elite troops, you will run out of Prestige for upgrades and new units.

Now the good news.
Between Scenarios in the campaign you can replace losses with basic trainees using ZERO prestige. Of course this will degrade your experience but as noted above. You WILL take losses, not matter how good the troops are.
Upgrading in a series is cheap. Upgrading out of a series is not. i.e. All models of the PZ III will be cheap to upgrade to new models of the PZ III. It will cost you significantly more to upgrade a PZ III of any model to a PZ IV of any model.
Start thinking of Elite troops vs Standard troops. Use the standard troops to soak up the losses in the initial attack and clean up with the elites. Unless of course you need the speed, then the Elites hit first....and cost a their weight in Prestige.

Have fun!!!!! Just don't be disappointed in the differences. People who were used to not losing a unit are in for a few surprises. [:@]
