How do you shoot artillery??

Hey folks --
I'm just getting started with this game and am stuck on the second scenario. I got pummeled by a rugged defense unit and wanted to take a shot at using my artillery on them. Only, I can't figure out how to shoot it. In the manual, it says certain units have special abilities. Well, I fail to see how to get to those. Could someone help? Thanks!

Select the arty unit.  You will see target icons on valid targets.  Then click on a target to shoot.
If you don't see any target icons, then that means they are out of range.

Arty (with a few exceptions in named über guns), have a range of 1, 2 or 3. Range of 1 means the unit will have to be adjacant to the enemy to attack it, range of 2 allows one hex between them, and range 3 then allows 2 hexes in between artillery and target.
Arty can move and fire, BUT it cannot move in a truck and then fire (when you move a towed arty, the hexes with a white circle in them are hexes the arty can "walk" to and when reaching them, fire).

To fire them, use them as any other unit you want to attack with, select the arty and click on the desired target.
