Turn 41, blizzard again in the central zone, snow in the south.
I received a mail of Traemyn telling me this : (let say this is a spy report [;)]

"I don't know how the south will end, but I will share some information about what I've done so far in case its helpful to you when you do a soviet GC. You'll see in your turn I was able to win 3 battles in the south and was able to rout a few of your panzer units. Again, I don't know if these battles will mean anything in the next couple of turns but to me they were key in keeping those trapped guard units free for another turn, as well as possibly delaying your summer offensive by continuing to wear down your units.

-I have Vasilevsky leading my 2nd Shock Army. He has 7 INF and 6 or 7 Initiative. I spent AP's to make sure he was leading 2 out of 3 of the battles. Took me about 30 AP probably to do so but I think it was worth it.

-Some of the battles were really close and I believe I got the 1:1/2:1 Soviet rule on at least one of them.

-I have 4 or so Cavalry Corps in the area and each of them has at least 2 Separate Tank Battalions directly attached to them, which I am sure you've read about on the forums. Each of the Corps comes close to having about 100 tanks and really seems to pack a good punch (whereas the Cavalry Corps by themselves don't seem all that great). I also read people saying they don't use these as frontline units but from what I've seen so far they perform good (with attachments).

Stuff I am not sure how much it influenced the battles, but was targeted:
-The panzer units I routed seemed to be a bit low on supply and fuel.
-The inf/mot battle I won they were orange/yellow in morale"

I don't have time to deal with the SUs thing. I let the AI handle. I will have to check if my units involved in this fight have been well supported or not. Too bad that I can not open my file again...

Well, Olivier, you are showing lots of French elan, but a poor '41 means the disparity in strength is too great for you to do a successful offensive and he will just grind you down

You can transfer armies direct to OKH control. They don't fight so well so best for quiet areas if there are any. It does mean, though, that you can reduce overloading of AGs. Command capacity also went up in april - see manual.
