Ah, this actually IS an AAR? Featuring War of the Babes? Well, maybe Alzheimer is playing tricks with my perception, and the illustrations above are situation maps. Coded maybe?

Back on track, Red, bing it on, focus on kicking Axis ass instead of chasing pinups like Stalins serfs back then probably did for too long. [8D]

Yawn... Waiting for Carnage to send the first turn but he's busy with work this week. Just thought I'd keep you all entertained in the meantime.

Now, about the Frauleins, they are not 'off-topic' at all. These secret agents are my only source of hard Intel - and I mean HARD Intel, gentlemen!

You're going to be in more trouble from your wife than from Carnage

LOL. OK gents, the game is on. TURN 1 - North-Centre.

I am fairly happy with Turn 1 north of the Pripyat. With a flurry of hasty counter marches I was able to:

1. Cut off one of the main enemy spearheads from its supply near Riga.

2. Restore supply to all major pockets.

3. Move troops by sea out of the coastal pocket into Riga, giving me a good chance of holding it through Turn 2.

Overall, I hope that these moves will have bought me a critical extra week in the north and possible also in the centre.

TURN 1 - South.

Here, I was unable to create any problems for Carnage and his vast Lvov encirclement held. I am forming a forward defense line, as indicated, with the intent of slowing the advance here for as long as possible.

Not a very good open for the Germans here. Looks like Carnage has some rust to scrape off and hopefully he can do it or this is going to get ugly. Very nice job on breaking pockets and getting troops out, especially in the north.

Very nice one. That will definitely buy you some time to put up a credible defense on the Pskov - Ostrov sector.

If you can find troops to spare - unlikely - it might be a good idea to deploy a couple rifle divs and a Corps HQ on Tallinn. Being a port, he'll have to launch a deliberate attack to take the city and secure the rear of his advance on Leningrad.

Cheers gents. I have one rifle div on Tallinn already and will try to rail another there next turn. Troops are already digging in around Pskov.

Also do you know if there is a hot key to get a full screen map without any other info? I cannot for the life of me find one.

Do you mean like this? It does depend on your monitor size, I believe - smaller screens might not fit the whole map in.

Zoom out to max (Zoom 5) using the centre mouse wheel. Remove all units with the control at top left of your screen (the one with two over lapping rectangles). Print screen and paste in a paint program, if you want to save it, print or draw on it, etc.
