Hello mate.

Good choice - as far as I know all it takes is to place the folder attached in either the "Graphics" or the "AltGraphics" folder in the main game directory - if I only can recall well. Myself I would go for the first one, just for the sake of being on the safe side.It may be also necessary to place the equipment file - the one with the .eqp extension - in the very same folder aprt from the graophic folder I have previously mentioned. That would be all generally I'll see to it in a moment and if I misled You I'll correct that shortly.

Good luck - if You need an opponent write me so we can set omething up if the odds are favourable.

Thank you!
My only experience with PC wargames comes from Steel Panthers and Panzer General.
TOAW 3.4 is much more interesting but also more difficult to play, so I have a lot to study and learn about this game before go to play PBEM, but thanks for your kind offer anyway [:)]

Howdy again ...

Not a problem here - glad I could help. Definitely go for it -it's really worthy all the time and effort that can only be spent on wargaming and the community always needs some fresh blood.

Good luck with Your study then, but do not dwell for to long on theory - put that to practice at some point finally and then You can always get back to the manual on seeing what transpires.

From Silvanski's version of this:

-Make a copy of the 'TOAW - 19th century equipment database' folder, rename BOTH the folder AND the '.eqp' file inside it to the specific scenario's '.sce' file.
-Put the entire folder in your TOAW graphics folder.
-Open the scenario again in the editor to check. You may get a notification first that you're using the wrong .eqp database. Saving the scenario again should solve this.

Takes a bit more effort, but works hella better, eh?

Aw, yes, siree indeed - I was mislead by the fact that on loading both the databsae folder and the "Little Big Horn" campaign scenario into their respective directories the scenario worked after all with no warning messages apparently so I lazily concluded investigation and okayed my instruction. However when I looked into it again it turned out that the cavalry troopers rode the early French tanks in their Wild Wild West and no sooner that then I recalled how I did that in the past to have the sabre and lance squads and teams etc.

Sorry for the incomplete piece of advice.
