Game crashes rather than let me win.

Hi,

Bought the game recently (July) and have encountered a slightly annoying problem. Whenever I am about to achieve a victory (with the win pointer at 75%+ and less than 10 minutes to go) the game crashes. This has happened on both of my potential victories (Battle of the Roadblocks and Skorzeny's Bid for Glory). It hasn't crashed on any of my (numerous) defeats! I am currently treating it as the AI's version of surrendering, however it would be nice to get the Well Done message from High Command.

I am running version 4.0.229. Was I right in assuming that the one I downloaded after purchasing would be the fully updated one?

There is a 4.1.235 version released already - download it from the link at the bottom of this:

In testing is a 4.2.xxx version.

ISTR the patch notes for 4.1 including fixes for a number of CTD.

Thanks Lieste, I'll give that a go.

I did try the Check for Updates option on the main menu in game but that just gets timed out whilst establishing handle.

Downloaded the patch and installed. Then I ran the Roadblocks scenario from my last game save to completion attempting to do much the same as before. All worked well and I achieved a Marginal Victory (over 75% seems more than marginal to me, but lets not split hairs). I will keep an eye on things and come back if I get any more crashes.
