map name visible during battle/view exit locations

Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem is a highly enhanced new release of Close Combat, using the latest Close Combat engine with many additional improvements. Its design is based on the critically acclaimed Close Combat – A Bridge Too Far, originally developed by Atomic Games, as well as the more recent Close Combat: The Longest Day. This is the most ambitious and most improved of the new Close Combat releases, but along with all the enhancements it retains the same addicting tactical action found in the original titles! Close Combat – Last Stand Arnhem comes with expanded force pools, reserve & static battlegroups, a troop point buying system, ferry and assault crossings, destructible bridges, static forces and much more! Also included in this rebuild are 60+ battles, operations and campaigns including a new enhanced Grand Campaign!

map name visible during battle/view exit locations

Post by kweniston »

Can the map name be visible during battles on the main battle field (for example the upper top of the screen), and/or can the name be below in one of the command bars?

Also, can a better overview of exit locations and the adjacent maps be given on the (strategic) map during battle?
Some sort of strategic view over the current battle.

Thanks in advance for looking into it.

The OVM view has the map name visible at the bottom center. Use the magnifying glass to zoom out and the map name will be visible at the bottom center.

Good suggestion on the addition of adjacent maps and exit location names being accessible somewhere in the tac map view. OVM (zoomed out tactical map) seems like the logical choice assuming there's room for everything. When outside of a campaign or operation it'd be nice to have more info in the map view screen like what you're describing. Maybe even a hover function on the mini-strat map that shows which map area the cursor is hovering over.

Additionally, during the campaign view it might also be handy to see on the battle maps where the exit locations connect to.
This is just a general request really, for maximum clarity of the exit locations and connected maps, since this is a critical campaign aspect.
Thanks.

Yeah caught that as a logical extension of the idea you were suggesting. Thinking along the same lines. [;)] Thanks for making sure it was clear and for the suggestion.
