More ASW Stuff

Post by JWE »

Ok, the sub and asw code tweaks are in place and test out good. They are totally transparent to regular scenario database (stock, Babes, whichever), 'except':

Don fixed a routine to check whether a DC had a normal pistol setting as deep as a sub could normally dive in "Deep Water Hexes". If not, randoms are applied to the difference, so it isn't a hard cut-off, just more difficult to get a hit as the difference gets larger. This was a bug fix that applies universally.

There's now a way to define alternate dive data, separate from Dur. So one can now tweak dive parameters without messing up construction costs (or vice versa). This is totally transparent to existing databases. Just like the AA/DP gun stuff, if the database doesn't have the alternate values, the program automatically defaults to normal values. Could be just the ticket for John 3d and Stan's new mod.

Send pm, get the instructions.

Ciao. J

Wow again! Does the new(ish) witploadAE cover that, or is another update of it in the offing?

Almost missed this! Thanks, JWE, this indeed might prove quite useful for modeling advanced Japanese subs without bankrupting the Empire[:)]. I join in the question: are these values entered with the help of witploadAE?
