More prestiege for a marginal victory?

Looking at the campaign tree in excel, it appears that you sometimes get more prestiege for a marginal victory than for a decisive one? Am I reading this right? It seems to me it should be the opposite. [&:]

Not necessarily, for example it can depend on what scenario you are going to next.

Plus it being a game, I imagine that having slightly more prestige for the marginal victory functions as a boost to help you towards decisive victory...  it is supposed to be fun after all.
