CV sunk - What to do with surviving air unit fragments ?

Hi,

First: NY59Giants, you are allowed to read this (no secrets.....)

After i lost some Carriers, i have in a nearby base some surviving fragments of the air units which were based on these carriers before.
Their parents went down with the CVs. After reading in a older threat i found the option to rebuild destroyed air units.
The units which went down with the ships are listed there and i can rebuild them.

Now the questions:

1. Should i disband the surviving fragments if i decide to rebuild the parents ?
2. What happens when i rebuild the parents AND keep the fragments (can i combine them later ?) ?
3. It is before July 1942 and i get the destroyed units back AFTER auto resizing. Do i get resized units (just checked: NO, they are in the group replacement list with their original size) ? Can i resize them manually ?

Disband the fragments and rebuild the squadrons.
