replenishment + mine warfare

Post by marcosortega »

Hi,

How does the replenishment mission works? Do i have to place TF lacking fuel and TF replenishment in same hex and then press replenish TF at sea?

It seems that in version 2.2 the mine warfare missions do not work. I am not able to place any mine. I send the TF with retirement allowed activated and mine warfare mission activated and nothing happens. It simply comes back but no mine is placed in the DH.
Has anyone experienced this?ç

Thanks!:p

Sounds like you have the replenishment down - have a TK or AO with Fuel on replenishment mission end its turn in the same hex as the other TF. Then at the beginning of the next turn go to that TF and hit Replinish at sea button - this will eat up some OPS of that TF for that turn though - so be fore warned.

I think there is a problem with laying mines initally - the two Jap ML's are tempremental in the begining of the game - if you send them back to Truk and make Truk the homeport and let them refuel then send them out on Mine laying missions they seem to work great. It is just the inital load doesn't seem to want to deploy even though they read as having mines - I think it is a bug.

Good luck.

I've not had a problem with the two ML's that Japan starts the game with laying their mines in scenario 19 with patch 2.20. Perhaps it is version/scenario specific.

Only thing that got me was the fact that one has to send them all the way back to Truk for refills as no other ports can load them back up after you use the initial loadout and the fact that after setting up a nice minefield at Lunga & Tulagi to annoy the US landings which were bound to happen sooner or later ended up causing my own ships major problems when landing troops there :( Friendly fire really hurts!

;) To avoid hitting you're own mines never lay an offensive mine field at a base/beach you intend to invade. Wait until after you've captured the base/beach to lay a defensive mine field.
