Can't install Supernova patch

I bought the base game from GamersGate and Supernova from D2D. The patch is asking for a serial number, there is no serial number attached to either the GG or D2D downloads.

OK, found a working patch for non matrixgames version, no thanks to D2D for listing one as available. Saw nothing about it at the Nitronium games forum either. I founbd the patch that claims it is for CD/DVD version here.

It installed to my Armada/Supernova folder fine even though it makes it look like the patch is for CD/DVD only. Matrixgames patcxh is only 2.43mb and the DVD version is 243mb sobasically you are downloading the complete mod again but updated to 1.03. It's bloody pathetic that a paying customer has to jump through hoops to find a working patch, and it isn't even listed as for DD versions.

The version of the game you have is not published by Matrix Games, and contains nothing that suggests that it is. Indeed the version of Supernova that you got from D2D has a big Iceberg-Interactive logo on the main menu, and if you'd gone to their site you'd have been directed clearly to the correct patch.

Direct me to the patch at D2D then. There isn't one! Oh, I see, I was supposed to be a mind reader and know I was supposed to go to Iceberg-Interactive for the patch instead of D2D, silly me.

BTW, I DID go to Iceburg-Interactive and their site fails to load properly and ends up with this:

The connection has timed out

The server at www.iceberg-interactive.com is taking too long to respond.

How is anyone supposed to download a patch from there?

Just found the above on your Nitronium forums. So, a customer who bought it from Gamersgate, and D2D apparently, is supposed to download the complete effing game again just for a friggin' patch? That is unacceptable...adios.

Oh, lookee, I actually was able to get iceburg's slow site to load this time and found the patch. Guess which patch it directs me to. The one I posted here and have already downloaded and installed 2 bloody days ago! It looks like I did know what I was doing all along the real twat here is the person who created the file name and named it CD/DVD patch so it is not obvious it is also for D2D and Gamersgate also. Maybe Nitronium could do their customers a huge favour and post that info on their own forums too? Ya maybe think that would help?

This was a pain for me too. Why all versions can't just be the same I'll never understand.  Anyways I got my version from D2D (both original and expansion!) for $14.95.  The patch for Supernova can be found here: http://www.direct2drive.com/patches/
