Afraid not. As usual in the military, when we go away on these kind of trips, the programme is smack full of briefs, visits, courtesy calls etc, giving little time for sightseeing.

As it should be, considering we're using up the taxpayers money.

ETA: Will probably go for a private visit to London quite soon though. Had forgotten what a nice town it is. Last time I was there was 31 years ago, when I went over to see Pink Floyds The Wall at Earls Court. [;)]

How did you get across here?
RyanAir to Stansted. Why?

What was your experience with RyanAir? I was pleasantly surprised.

Hi Bruce!  Was just thinking about you earlier today.  Exactly 1 year ago, we were all touring the USS North Carolina.  [8D]

Same with me. Ok, there were not much legspace and the seats felt like oak after two hours. Otherwise perfectly ok. You get what you pay for.

Exactly. A 737 is a bus with wings, after all. Both going out and coming back, my flights were actually ahead of schedule and the flight crew was friendly and efficient (and mostly gay, not that there's anything wrong with that).

Back from London.

Home Sweet Home tithe.

How was it Per?

Did you have time to sightsee and visit museums?

Afraid not. As usual in the military, when we go away on these kind of trips, the programme is smack full of briefs, visits, courtesy calls etc, giving little time for sightseeing.

RGR Per - thanks for info!

BTW, the only museum visit was official then?

Came downstairs this morning to a familyroom full of teenage girls in the pj shorts and tops. I hid in the kitchen cleaning and fixing an email problem at work. I mean, how do you sit in a room full of teenage girls in short tight shorts without looking like a perv?

I know it's too late for most of you on here, you are pervs, and no, there are no pics.
