West & East Front.exe has stopped working

Jason - long time no talk my friend - hope all is good in your neck of the woods.

I am having problems - just today - I had to change out my graphics card - no big deal right - so - now neither East or West Front will load properly - after the Matrix graphic displays the game crashes. I have checked to make sure my compatibility settings are correct and I was having no issues with playing the games before I had to change out my graphics card.

I am running a new Nvidia 8400GS card.... any thoughts or solutions for me!

Hmm, good question.

I would try updating your drivers. If you are using Windows 7, I would recommend using that to install the drivers.

Otherwise, possibly readding the 1.04 UPDATE to your install and then changing the display settings might help. Don't forget, you would probably want to change the display settings on all the EXE files in each of the games - just in case.

One other weird tweak here was that after I installed the graphics card - I noticed that windows was now telling me that I no longer had a sound card installed....so after researching the web for this error - I was told to go into my bios (upon starting up) and making sure that my sound was in fact enabled - it was not - so I enabled sound again, booted the pc up and presto - all my games worked again - go figure!

So - if this happens to anyone else - keep this one in your tickler file for weird things to look for...

Jason - this was the 1st chance I was able to get into the Matrix website and sign on to let you know that I did in fact get my problems resolved!

Strangest thing I have encountered in a long while!

By the way - how's the modern wars version coming along? I think we need some new blood - lol.

Modern Wars is coming along quite well. Every day brings some additional progress. I am looking forward to finally releasing this! Hopefully sooner, rather than later.
