Can I Edit a Saved Game?

Hello
Just bought Panzer Corps and I am very pleased with it, being an old PGII player.

My question is, can I play Panzer Corps, save my game and then using the editor open my saved game and change it, such as add extra units, raise prestige etc.

There was an old PGII editor that allowed you to do this which made the game more interesting espeicially since you could add reinforcements in the middle of the game (or take them away) and after playing the PGII vanilla scenarios for the 15th time changing saved games allowed the game to be played again but differently.

If you cannot change the attributes of a saved game is this something that can be done in another way.
