0,0 airgroups

Post by Grouchy »

At the commander report screen there are a couple of air groups located at 0,0. They are not accesible for me, when you click on one of them a blank/empty unit screen comes up:

These groups are attached to offmap bases. How did you get there?

Never attached them manually. Did see them at the commander report screen and i wanted to transfer/upgrade them out to the frontline. Only then did i notice something was not right.
I honestly don't know how they ended up there.

Is this modded game? Were you reducing delays with the editor functions?

No, normal game. To doublecheck I started an AI vs AI game ('41 GC V1.05.18) and let it run to until Sept '41.

Again 0,0 airgroups are there when i set the USSR to human....

Ok, I see these 0,0 groups in our Ai test saves as well.

It appears that AI can move air groups to delayed (off-map) air bases and due to the display issue it becomes visible. :)

Very good catch. Thanks.

I posted about this issue in the development forum 1.5 months ago...I guess the post was missed.

Nah, it's not that, it's more that double reporting of issues shouldn't normally be necessary, but I noticed that I wrote about it in a thread about the at the time latest version, instead of creating a thread in the bug report section, which is probably why it was missed.
