I didn't mentioned the 1.04 version has extended Typhus events: each turn the most numerous stack in any Theater risks to be affected by typhus, like Reds this turn in Volga theater

BTW, this example illustrates perfectly what I think about realism in wargames. If you desire a really accurate RCW, let's say you recruit 100 conscripts. Nex turn, you will lose 60 of them by desertion, then 20 because of typhus...Very accurate but boring, AI hostile.
My events are far more lenient, but my conscription is more or less totalling the real number of men enrolled and fighting, so need to recruit more to just remove them ASAP
. Typhus events are flavor, remembering you It was a real annoyance for Armies and annoying you currently by reducing value of your big stack [:D]

Playing FY 1.03. version as Southern Whites I never used any "build tankodrome" option but was able to build "heavy vehicles" replacements which replenished my tank units. Do not know if it is WAD or bug.
Regretfully I deleted my old saves after installing new FY version.

Not sure it's a bug, and I have not changed anything on this point. I suppose these replacemnts are coming from England [;)] and it seems logical, even if unhistorical Britain furnishing spare parts with the tanks. If not, the AI ( which uses poorly tanks but I can't do nothing about that) would lose quickly tanks by attrition.

If my memory serves me well (I cannot verify it till evening) tankodrome options give possibilities to build tank replacements but not tanks.
If one can build tank replacements without wasting EPs, money and war supply to pay for such options then I suppose that these options are useless and can drain off precious resources from AI (or inexperienced player).

Right for Whites but Reds get Tank units only after building a tankodrom.They produce supplies and ammo too so they aren't useless
Now, these options are leftover of the official verion i'm not easy with. I've let them, but it would definitively deserve better treament indeed, like adding new armored units for Whites. [:)]

You are right Nikel. The latter is A.P. Budberg in his old age. I have found another photo of Budberg made in 1920-ies in emigration when he was 20 years younger. He is in civilian costume though.

Now, as the subject has been raised, let's study some WIA events about epidemics and the reasons they are IMO not efficiently designed for gameplay purpose...

I've said before why it was impossible to replicate in game the real impact of epidemics which were the first mortality cause in armies in WIA and RUS. But this one is so much lenient, one unit only, it has no impact about gameplay. It just one of the 200 messages you get each turn without real consequence. By selecting biggest stack in one theater, my FY Typhus event will have to be taken into account by player. I prefer having flavour event imposing player to rethink his plan than a message among other. Nothing essential, but more nervous gameplay. Interesting change. In WIA, after 5 occurences of this event, you know you don't really have to care to check what unit has been altered, 10% losses isn't a so drastic change for one unit. For 15 subelements, it's different [:D]

- a 45 stack is as much powerful than a 52 one, but will be immune to epidemics. Where is the realism? How much gamey for the player knowing this limit ? And those ignoring, but keeping an army at 45 when the AI, which ignores the event, will build its 55 stack? Never, never think about AI [:D]That's why the event is excluding it to fire if AI is at level 3...I don't need this sort of AI bonus, as Human and AI are affected in the same way by my typhus events.

BTW, I will maybe in the next days choose a new forum for FY. I like Matrix forum, but the presence of the AGEOD moderators on this one, searching a pitiful revenge about their collective failure has begun to annoy me. And even if they have been unable to use this forum to support customers here, they are just coming to pollute FY thread. The maneuver is laughing, as much ridiculous than the current PON state, but unfortunately time consuming for me.

If I can, I will. Matrix is a company run by professional and frequented by interesting people. Now, this subforum is the SEPRUS/AGEOD property, even if they never used it. I 've learnt to never remain in enemy territory. My possible forum project is rather advanced and pretty convenient for mod use. Then I will do ads for FY and SVF in a few general forums. And even here. In the end, I will keep the same feedback, when this subforum will come back to the graveyard state it was a few weeks ago. Seprus problem after all. They don't even realize FY could possibly one day be the reson for one or two customers to buy RUS [:)]

Not to take sides, I simply don't understand why, considering the background of both and the all-around situation, why would a AGEOD representative insert himself. Even with the best of intention, I just think that we would be better without further interaction. Obviously, a bad move.
