One other quick request please

I am exploring the game using a 1920/1080 display setting---is there any way of setting up larger unit displays or of zooming into a map area if required.
Have swiftly scanned the manual but could not locate any precise guidelines re this issue.

The unit tokens are limited to 'normal' with the unit designation and small, without. Toggled using the ' key.

You can choose a zoom level using the control immediately below the jump map/overview.

Otherwise the only way to make things appear 'larger' on screen is to run at a lower resolution. I can only run up to 1440x900 so I'm not sure exactly what you might be seeing/want to change though.

Thanks Lieste---at 1920/1080 the unit ikons and written info are (for me) quite difficult to read ---i have actually reduced my display to 1440/900 for this reason and certainly though the display dimensions are reduced the unit ikons seem larger and clearer.
i was initially just wondering whether there was any way to keep the overall large map display which I like but enlarge the ikons etc or alternatively whether there there was any way to zoom in on a particular area beyond the zoom stages set up in the game.
I guess there probably isnt---but thanks again for your help.

In my computer ignorance can I please ask a supplementary and maybe inane question --why is it that when you use higher game resolutions and the map features like towns and woods etc grow larger in view, the unit ikons become actually (not relatively) smaller and more difficult to read .
I note there is a way in game to select "smaller ikons"---could there be no way or mod to facilitate the selection of "larger ikons"---I am speaking as a very ancient lover of the game but with aging eyesight which means I cannot use the 1920/1080 resolution but to read the ikons comfortably I have to select 1280/800
I am just puzzled by this aspect related to resolution changes and would really appreciate some understanding and possibly ,if feasible,some practical means of combining a 16/9 reslolution like 1920/1080 with larger ikons.
