Black Holes

Post by tjhkkr »

One thing I have not tried playing with is Black Holes...
Are there wormholes that lead to other areas of the galaxy?
I keep my fleets away from them by and large... and if a research station is places there it is because I place my construction ships on auto.

So what is the front page on Black Holes in DW?[&:]

There aren't any wormholes in DW as far as I can tell (except for a bug that has already been fixed[:D]) Black Holes generally suck your ship to their center dealing it an amount of damage similar to that dealt by the Giant Kaltor.

Wormholes would be nice feature, especially now that maps can be quite large in Legends. Random 1-3 pairs of wormholes depending on the size of the galaxy would make things interesting.

I see what you did there, but why not. Extremely late game tech that allows you to build your own, very expensive, jump-gates. Me would gusta.

It's a sin but a reasonable one if it's late game, indeed.

So I have not missed much by staying away from them...

Although a wormhole through a black hole would be interesting... it would mean you would have to post a couple of battlestations (with fighters) there to keep your enemies from popping out of no where...

It wasn't a bad movie either, as Sci-Fi Horror movies go.
