WHEN WHEN WHEN (DAVE)???

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Hi all,

With regard to the HTTR ex pack, the scenarios have all been drafted and we've given them a once over testing a month back but we really need some time to test these again with the final pacth 2 version of the engine. So I expect that the ex pack will be a few weeks later than the patch 2 release.

Dave, this are excellent news! I've been spreading the word about BftB and the HttR conversion and people is indeed intrigued.

There is a whole lot more mods made and I will post up a full list next week.

This was posted 7 days ago and after what "johndoessecond" said in post #18 above, I am extremely excited to see this list. I hope it is posted today.[:)]

Just bought BftB the other day in anticipation of the soon to be released patch.

Dave - Feel free to release an optional beta version of the patch so those of us who "want it now" and aren't afraid of trying a beta version can have at it. [;)]

Thanks.  I own HTTR and really like the system.  Was just waiting for some official words on the long awaited patch before pulling the trigger on BftB.  Now bring on the Eastern Front!

Hi all,

Just to keep you informed. I have been working hard on getting the bridge construction working properly. The prime problems were the force allocation routines and the PlanConstructBridge code. I have modified the force allocation code. It now does a pre pass and allocates appropriate engineers to ConstructBridge objectives. It aims to allocate at least one unit with a bridge but also if there are sufficient, it will allocate additional eng units up to the minQty ( set at 15 engValue ). So now you often get two engineers assigned to a crossing. In the Race for Bastogne scenario this enables the Germans to build the key Dasburg and Ubereisenback bridges on the first day as they did historically. So all good there.

I have also modified the planning code to go over to defend if it has engineers nearby to the crossing already. this prevents unnecessary moving about by the engineers and allows them to get straight down to business. All in all it is much improved and enables the offensive side to go like the clappers, which they need to. [:)]

I have just released a new Replacement Exe #10 for Build 4.2.241 to the testers. I believe this is it. Unless I get any showstopper reports I will be working up a patch installer in a couple of days.

Did this list ever get posted? I couldn't find it anywhere and this was dated 9/16. I know the patch is coming soon, but was hoping to see the full list per this post. Thanks.

There's a list in this thread, but I'm not sure if it's complete.

Wait, it it already confirmed that after the HTTR expansion for BftB ther will be a eastern front ( [X(] ) expansion too ?
And maybe i missed something but will the HTTR expansion be free (included into the patch) for all who already own BftB ?

As I understand it they've started work on an eastern front game. Just started - so I would calm your expectations there. Dave couldn't give a time estimate, but I imagine (given the history of the upcoming patch and expansion) that you might be looking at 2013. Seriously. Dave can correct me if I'm wrong, but this patch has been in development over a year, if I recall correctly.

They've also already said they will be charging for the HTTR expansion (but not the patch).

I think charging for the HttR expansion is only fair.
