Can't get 3.4 patch to work after install

Hi All,

Newbie on the forum here and need some assistance if possible!

I have been running TOAW 322927 quite happliy for a few years now and came across the new download 340202.

The install seemed to go through OK for 340202, I opened up the program using game menu option. The intro cinematics ran thru OK then I got the microsoft "has encountered a problem and needs to close" message, ouch.

So I checked out some comments on the forum and uninstalled 340202 and 322927, then reinstalled 322927, but I am getting the same microsoft bug error for 322927. I can't even run the original version 3229727 any more!

I am curently running on XP (SP3).

Any ideas?

Hi All,

After a few hours of fiddling around I have solved my own problem.

I changed the field in the *.ini file nointro=N, to Y and everything work again!

Hope I haven't wasted anyone's time, that was from left field though!
