Hi all,

And IPTV (I have it for 4+ years now)?

'Fraid I don't know what 'IPTV' is, Leo...

Maybe it's a Croatian thing?

Nope... it is the way of streaming TV over Internet... it is usually coupled with xDSL (we here have ADSL)...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XDSL

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iptv

BTW, the world leader in it is German T-Com and since our national telecom is German owned T-Com (15+ years ago bought by then) it was only natural thing...

Hi all,
ORIGINAL: USS America

I personally think everyone just needs more rum punch!

In about 90 minutes, I'll be heading home and getting ready for some rum punch of my own, and Opening Night in HD.

Love Rum-Punch! [8D]

BTW, you guys get HD TV via cable mostly?

Leo "Apollo11"

Ours is via cable, yes, Leo. Some also get HD via satellite service.

Morning all! Happy Independence Day, Leo!

I had my second interview yesterday with a company and have the third next Tuesday. The first two have been really good and I have high hopes for the third. They've already been discussing salary with me. This unemployed stuff is for the birds. I've technically been unemployed only 8 days but I was on "leave" all of September. This "leave" was spending 8 hours a day looking for a job. Keep your fingers crossed for me guys. It's a very nice company and it's a true logistics analyst job. Right up my alley! [:D]

Fantastic news, Mike! Been there, done that. [:D]

Best of luck on Tuesday!

TV over xDSL... it is quite popular in Europe (but then again the xDSL is not that popular in USA)...

Leo "Apollo11"

Ah, gotcha. There is some mention every now and then of this in the US. I believe AT&T has a service called uVerse, or some such.

Thanks Mike. I'm the candidate they're pursuing of at least 3 they interviewed. I think it helped that my potential future boss is retired Navy. [:D] We think alike.

The xDLS is much much wider used in Europe and where Cable is almost nonexistent...

Well, the Ohio State game just ended. They were up 27-6 over Nebraska in the 3rd quarter and managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, losing 34-27. Sheesh.

Evening tithe... Big day tomorrow with the big race at Bathurst on the Telly all day, and my Son home on leave to watch it with me.

Edit; Also a few cold stubbies of beer in the fridge... heaven!

Image

And what a race it turned out to be!!! [X(]

After 6:29.52 hours the winning margin was 0:00.2917 secs. Craig Lowndes NEVER gives up with out a fight and with six seconds to make up with only 10 laps to go it was on for young and old!!! Garth Tander did a fantastic job holding him off!!

Bathurst has to be greatest race in the world!!!

Personal link: Last year we paid for a ride in V8 Supercar at the Calder raceway for my son. The driver was.... Nick Percat (as of today a Bathurst champion) and he held nothing back!!! It was probably the most exciting ride my son will ever have!!!

By the way you Top Gear freaks, these cars are made by Holden, not Vauxall or GM (despite what the overseas marketing dept says...)
