Beta Q6, Factories in blue text in industry screen

Post by Shark7 »

What exactly does that mean? It seems to be something new.

If need be, I can post a screen shot once I get home from work.

Confirm in the beta notes, but IIRC it means that they are about ready to upgrade.

Can't be that. Of the 4 types shown in blue, 1 has no upgrade available at all, and 2 have no yet started production. The only thing I see being a potential answer is that there are not enough of the type to fill out the active squadrons of the type atm. Maybe its an indicator that you aren't producing enough to meet demand?

A bit tongue in cheek here... but....

Recently Michael made a change to show squadrons on night missions to be displayed in blue text.

Could it be your factories are all on night shift?

I believe blue means R&D factory.  Blue can also mean something is being stockpiled.

As Bill says.
Blue for R&D.
Note that there are 2 'blues'.
The bluer blue is when a R&D can be changed to either another R&D or production.
The lighter blue (which is a grey) is for type in actual R&D.

Blue on the commodity use/require side indicates commodity being stockpiled.
[Using commodity now to refer to resource, oil, fuel, supply as normal use of the word 'resource' tends to confuse some.[:D]]

I'll post a screen shot when I get home from work, because these aircraft are not R&D. It won't be until 4-5 hours from now till I can though, but everything being described is not really what I am seeing, the aircraft in question have been in production since turn 1. [&:]

ok, maybe this will be more helpful.

Of these factories, the G4M and H6K could be due upgrades, but the He-115 C4 is not, it is an aircraft I added with no defined upgrades, and it has been under production since the 1st turn.

So, I'm left wondering, why are they blue?

Have they actually produced any aircraft yet? The ability to swap R&D/production exists uptil you start producing a/c there, IIRC.

Drop in a save?

Ahhh, that is a subtle point. So, if it is a small factory, you might have several days. A larger factory, you have only one day to change. Thanks for the tip!!!

Yes, they have produced. They've filled out all my squadrons, and the C5 Babs in blue has a pool built up now.

That's interesting.
