Decided to try out new textures for the Nancy map to spruce it up a little bit. Will post this map and scenario soon.I do not believe any OOB changes for the patch are going to be needed.Just need to remake the 92 Flieger regiment.

After another round of adjusting the contour colors. The distance between the 50 meter contours is what prompted me to add the textures. Also helps to smooth out the rough job I did on the contour lines.

Yes ...I do not like the repeat either...I do like it better overall than before.....going to go over it again and try to trim down the repeating tiles.

Here are views of the last contour texture edits.Have gotten rid of the majority of the repeating tiles. Not perfect but not too bad.Going to leave it this way.

Thanks for spending the time on modding the graphics. It can take a quite a while to get things right. A lot is subjective. What appeals to some doesn't to others. However, there are some usability issues you should be aware of. One that hits me straight away with your set is that a lot of the detail is lost in the blurr created by the fine high contrast dot mesh you use. This tends to make any text hard to read. Also the high contrast strains the eye over extended viewing. However, you are perfectly entitled to stick with it and I don't want to unduly inhibit your expression as a designer. All the best.
I think the noise function needs less contrast at wide scale - it is hard to distinguish ground cover from elevation. Where the tree graphic is larger, the effect is better.
Cutting back on the contrast helped enormously to clarify the details as well as eliminating the duplicate tiles for the most part. I do not really like the transition between the light green contour area to the yellowish one on the 32 meter per pixel zoom but I can live with it......I don't know.... maybe I will change the yellowish contour to a shade closer to green......

Here are the graphics files....MapPat is the only one I edited....I am not sure how they might work on a map using different contour intervals than the Nancy map. Also some of the higher elevation tiles have not had the contrast reduced...You might have to make some adjustments...If you decide to use them for another map and run into problems let me know and perhaps I could help set them up.
