Applying patches

Post by Atilla60 »

I'm playing the Japanese in a PBEM (current version is latest official update).

Me and my opponent have agreed to apply the latest beta patch, and that I'll do the upgrade before sending my next turn to him. So now I'm wondering, when would be the best time to upgrade? Should I upgrade the latest turn I received from him, before creating the combat replay or after? Does it make any difference at all?

The best procedure is:
- Both give orders under old.
- Japan runs turn resolution under old + sends combat replay to Allied.
- Allied runs combat replay under old.
- Both upgrade to new.
- Both give orders under new, and continue on from there.
