Oh, the tennis ball. Boomer's son, Rascal. We could be in the middle of the desert and somehow he would find a tennis ball. Game on.

Thread Brothers, it's with a heavy heart that I tell you of the passing of our 11 year old dog Kelsey. We took him to the vet on Tuesday morning, then was admitted to the ER Tuesday afternoon and was at the Rainbow Bridge by 6AM the next morning. We don't think he suffered much - I'm not even sure that he recognized us when we left the ER for the night. He was happy as a puppy on Sunday in Santa Cruz, chasing pigeons and running on the beach. So we have that memory to cherish. What a rough week. RIP Kelsey - we'll miss you. [:(]

Sorry for your loss, KEM. [:(]

It might be a painful subject, Kwik E, but Kelsey is a wonderful name for a dog. My run of Springers has been Cooper, Bailey, Abby, and now Beaudy. I think Kelsey would fit right in with the next generation (a younger companion for the Beaudy Bear). Hope you don't mind, I mean this as respectfully as I possibly can. I like to think that one day my Kelsey might meet your Kelsey in the Rainbow fields and go "Woof !! Hey, I'm your namesake !! Let's play !!"

It's a painful subject, but bitter/sweet. I'm honored (as I'm sure Kelsey is...). His name was somewhat serendipitous...the shelter we adopted him from gave their new rescues names starting with a certain letter each month or week...it happened to be "K" when he was brought in...he was given the name Kelso and his sister was Kaley, we think...Kelso just didn't seem to fit the little blonde guy, so we modified it to Kelsey...that's a great thought of Kelsey and future Kelsey meeting someday! [:)] i really like your Springer names as well!

i might have a few stories here and there about Kelsey...i hope i'll be indulged...this one feels like it just has to be shared...before Kelsey came along, there was my wife's yellow naped amazon from pre-WU days...it's name is Kiwi (i call it "it" because we can't figure out its sex!)...Kiwi has a habit of saying "bye-bye" in a sing-song voice a few times before we both leave the house...it recognizes the signals of gathering keys, shutting windows and shutters, gathering jackets or hats...Kiwi also became adept at mimicking my wife's call to Kelsey for his dinner or his walk...it calls "Kelsey" in a sing-song voice followed by a whistle or two...my wife says that on Sunday, Kiwi called out for Kelsey a few times then said good-bye a few times after that...it nearly broke my heart to read the texts that she was sending me (i was out of the house at the time)...i know it may be coincidence that the bird put those phrases together like that, but i like to think Kiwi was actually saying goodbye...these guys turn us into sentimental old fools...
