Harley was begging to go out this morning. Crisp, clear, just a bracing day for a ride. So put on a few miles. Coming back, stopped at the Grand Hotel for some lunch. Valet guys didn't know what to do with it, so we just parked it next the kiosk. I like this motorcycle stuff.

Yeah, I'm sure it was "Harley" who was begging to go out[:)]

Early morning tithe (0650)... Looks like the world is still here, and nothing got 'raptured'.

Good afternoon, Brothers.  Just had a refreshing 5 hour nap after getting home from the morning's hockey game before the sun was up.  [:D]

Mike, I was talking with another hockey mom on Thursday and we both expressed hopes that our kids will grow up and encourage their kids to play hockey.  As retired grandparents we could enjoy the times and the travel even more than as busy, working parents.  [:)]

That would be nice. I have a ways to go though. My son has about a year of college left, then grad school. Right now he has about a dozen "girlfriends" so he's not really serious about any of them right now. Just having fun. That's ok. I have about 8 years to retirement so it probably will work out just fine. [:)]

Yeah, I have a few more years than that until retirement, but my son is still only 13. [:D]

At least I get the benefit of his games for now.

I don't think you missed much. The worst that happened to me was that I sheared a bolt, hardly the end of the world.

Thread Brothers, it's with a heavy heart that I tell you of the passing of our 11 year old dog Kelsey. We took him to the vet on Tuesday morning, then was admitted to the ER Tuesday afternoon and was at the Rainbow Bridge by 6AM the next morning. We don't think he suffered much - I'm not even sure that he recognized us when we left the ER for the night. He was happy as a puppy on Sunday in Santa Cruz, chasing pigeons and running on the beach. So we have that memory to cherish. What a rough week. RIP Kelsey - we'll miss you. [:(]

Sorry to hear that news, KEM. Glad to hear that the end came quickly at least...[:(]

Morning Guys, well I am back from my hospital check-up.

I am deeply humbled by the posts of support from you chaps, and thank you all very much (even T, my grammar teacher). My Oncologist is very happy with my progress, the latest tests show that the tumor is still dormant, and that it is not producing any more nasties at all. He is so confident about my condition, that he does not want to see me till February next year.[8D]

But the Chemo injections, and other dugs have to continue at the high dose that I am taking them, so the down side is the side-effects will continue. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, as the side-effects are no-where near as bad as what the tumor was doing before I started treatment.[;)]

I did admit to my Specialist, that the only side-effect that really annoys me is the one that effects my eye-sight. The problem is that some days for up to six hours, I get blurred vision, and the lose the ability to focus my eyes. This I told him, means that I cannot do my E-mail operational wargame turns (AE-PBEM).[:(]

But the prognosis looks good, and I am going to be around for a few more years (PBEM-turns). So I am a lucky boy (touch wood), as I have dodged the bullet this time. I have a second go at life, so I'm going to make the most of it. [:)]

Thanks again Guys, and have a nice day, cheers Des.

Edit: Now I am going to have a nap, as I am shagged, see you later.[:D]
Good news mate! Keep on the mend and all that!

Hi all,

No independent verification yet... many similar things happened in past that turned out to be false... let's wait and see...

Leo "Apollo11"

And now it's reported he's dead.

I'm waiting for the report that he's floated away on an umbrella, Mary Poppins-style...
And then sucked into the turbofan of a passing 747, Sherry Bobbins style...[:D]

Supposedly, he was killed AFTER he'd been captured. Oh dear, oh dear...
Don't feel so bad, dudes. BOTH of you were right! He was captured and THEN killed. You both get full credit.

Poor Moammar is going to miss the end of the world. It's tomorrow.
No. Someone got their calendars wrong. It was the end of It's a Small World yesterday. ANd the day before that and the day before that...

Disneyworld with a 4.5 YO daughter does have certain patterns associated with it...[:D]
