Thought i'd do an AAR for ATG.

starting map and first production choices. switched to produce 30 engineers and 30 horses.I have 60 infantry in HQ already.

After some exploring, border with china found and research lab discovered. Side note,this is my first game with water, i have just played all land games before.I already wasted time putting cargo ships in a unit instead of loading the unit on the cargo ship, was wondering why i couldn't disembark...duh. I upgrade some raw sites. going to have to deal with china right quick. I haven't invested any PP in tech yet, want to see what kinda land mass i'm on and get a lay of the land before i invest.

DEC 1937

6 cities claimed by me, mercs to garrison soon. New HQ created and transfered completed to city on china border.will keep on exploring and garrison cities and will probably invest in better infantry with first PP investment. got my cargo ship problems worked out and am about to land a few troops and engineers on the china side of the lake to grab unclaimed city. only chinese unit i see is miltia.

That crate in previous pictures turned into turkey, surprise surprise.

Well that city that i was going to assaualt from the sea that had one empty unit, next turn had a few more units delivered[8|] 2 of my cities got cut off. Turkey showed up in a crate[:D].Picture says the rest.

I forgot to mention, the tech i've invested in so far....infantry2,armored car,light tank,artillery.
Also got my supply situation fubared, once i upgraded to infantry2, i auto upgraded and of course my supply surplus took a big hitand my supply situation sucked. So i really couldn't hit back by my cut off city. I noticed china has armored cars too this point.

With the parameters you've set up this random game it's gonna be fast and ugly. Grab terrain and cities as fast as you can... without getting overstretched and too vulnerable.
The first engagements with the AI will be the hardest (usually) because it will throw everything at you, after that it will get somewhat easier. The AI tends to build armoured cars very soon, light tanks too, but not medium and heavy tanks. Since AT upgraded to ATG the AI favors Artillery above medium and heavy tanks. So yeah your path of upgrading to Inf II is what I do too, after that Art II and then Medium Tanks II, especially the medium tanks are the real killers versus the current AI.

I'm stopping this AAR and starting a new one. I loaded Ormands graphics and wanted to start a new game with these graphics. I'm 2 years into the new game, i'll put something up later.
