I've got nearly 500 AP's still..........anybody have any advice on what in the world I should spend them on? I figure maybe some rifle
divisions to replace the losses might be a no-brainer. Maybe some more tank units to get those T-34's and KV-1's out of the pool?

EDIT: Maybe I'll have a better idea of what I need to buy after I move everybody. Okie dokie......I'll just wait for somebody to post some
thing and move everybody.

You've lost roughly the equivalent of 100 divisions (80 infantry + 10 armor/cav corps + some brigades) the last few turns - you have to replace them and get boots on the ground.

This Arty unit has been trying to fill it's TOE since it was born about 5 turns ago. It's only got some 40+ % of the 122mm Howitzers it's
supposed to have. But there's only something like 200+ Howitzers in the pool. So it's going to take a while to plump up I guess.

Thanks for posting DTurtle dude. I've been forming Rifle Corps here and there and in the places where they are really needed but I've
got only 86 AP's left now. I'll build a lot of rifle brigades for now for the boots on the ground effects.

EDIT: Here's the Rifle Brigades I built and left parked in the Moscow area to be closer to the action.

This is the best I can do for front lines in this area. Far is going to have a good turn next turn.

Why are you building rifle brigades? Build divisions.

And be careful that he doesn't blast through your lines north of Tula in order to encircle Moscow.

Oh. Okie dokie. I just thought getting more was better than getting fewer. Maybe you're right. Besides the divisions can be turned into Corps sooner.

Far would be the one to do something like that. He's that way.

just put pairs of brigades together and turn them into inf divs.

From following your various AARs, you have improved a lot in that you have bcome a lot more organised ( no longer are armies scattered higgildy-piggildy) and better distributed to face threats. However, you still leave yourself open to big pockets because you don't defend in depth (opposite his panzers at least) or keep any adequate reserves. Latter means that when you just manage to free your pockets, they just turn into larger ones.

Play as well as you do the graphics and even Michael T will struggle.

I didn't know pairs of brigades would give you a division. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, that's been pointed out before and I'm working on trying to scrape together some reserves and just as soon as I have enough
people to make a second line I'm going to defend in depth. I may have to pull-back somewhere to make it happen though.

Far and I have switched sides so now I'm playing the Axis side in this conflict. It's July 1942 and the middle of the '42 offensive and
I don't even know what my units are like now. I need to take a tour of the units to get familiar with them.

News Flash - Larry and I are switching sides, so I am STAVKA for turn 55 (Sov) and Larry is OKH for turn 56 (Axis) onwards for a while at least. He is getting an Army with Command and Control optimized ( AGN, AGC, AGA, AGB, Panzer Armies, Full minors) - I believe, but will face some serious choices!
With 6.7M casulaties vs 1.7M and Sov C3 a bit frazzled, it is going to be a fun summer 42 STAVKA 2.0 ;)

Larry asked me to read and answer some his questions in the following posts. The SU situation is the result of a 'failed' new way of controlling SUs.

In the far north we of course have the Finns. Finns are brittle and don't get all that many reinforcements that fast so I hesitate to attack
with them. I can gain a hex or two maybe but for what purpose? The Axis can't win the manpower war ( or can they ? ) so my attacking here won't win the war for me.

OOOoooops. I forgot to mention the LI Corps. IT comes between the Finns and X Corps. Only a few units in the formation but they
are important.

I feel like I need to attack something somewhere but I guess I'll have to stiffle that impulse until I find the exact spot where attacking will do me the most good.  I
can't win the attrition war, I need to form pockets and whittle down the number of units opposing me I suppose.

Next going south is the L Corps. It's not a large formation though. I'm used to the Soviet formations where you have about a dozen
divisions typically. These Axis formations are just a handful of units. And they can breakdown as well. That's probably a handy
feature to have for your army. Although the Soviet units are getting a bit larger for a smaller broken-down Axis unit to have to deal with.

Next going south is the XXVI Corps. I have no idea why the 217th Inf Div is sitting in one of the larger cities to the far left ( west ) in this
picture. Maybe Far was having the unit sit there to avoid the worst of the winter attrition losses or something. It's time now to get this
division into the action somehow. Doing something useful. But what to do? With him sitting there on the rail he can act as a sort of
strategic reserve and be ready to arrive at the place where he's needed to save the day. Or something. We leave him there for now.

Next, going south, is the XXVIII Corps. One of the more powerful formations.
