best single-player game on this site?

Post by Javolenus »

I've bought quite a few games from this website. All the games have something going for them, but few have kept me playing, mainly due to weak AI issues. I only ever play single-player, so a competent AI is a must for me, and this game delivers a pretty good single-player experience. I just wanted to thank the devs for the game, which is one of the best wargames I've played. And when you add the scenario editor, it's even better! Also worth pointing out is that, as far as I can tell, the ingame text is clean (i.e. no typos or silly errors), unlike many other games these days. Look forward to seeing what else the dev team come up with.

I'd agree, for playability, scale and AI this is a very good game. Where I think there could be improvement would be on letting the player know what has happened; who's fired at who and what the result was, who's withdrawing and if they're not then why not ... that sort of thing. Unfortunately not sure if that is going to happen.

Hi There and thanks for this. Yes, totally agree. Some kind of sitrep/debrief thing would be great. A few more features and this game would be the best on the whole Matrix site. I've bought and tried lots of games on this site but Combat Command is the one that I return to--it's got great potential, so fingers crossed for future additions . . .
