Back to the ground war Lenningrad Front is still putting pressure on the german forces 20th Army continues to slowly push towards Novgorod Northwestern Front has reached Lake Ilmen Volkhov front is still pushing through toward Demeyansk. The German Line is still holding together but I have acouple of fresh Armies that I will be committing next turn so there is a posibility that I might be able to acheive some sort of breakthrough

Front Line to Rezhev this is a quiet sector not to mutch happening

Moscow I surrounded an infantry division last turn but he brought up a couple of mountain units that were able to break it out so I have just paused to alow the Kallinin Front to regroup before continuing with the offensive westen Fronts 10th Army is pushing toward Kaluga but it is running out of steam, which is why it will be replaced by the 3rd Army next turn

I have managed to cut off Tula but he should be able to re establish a link if he wants to or he might withdraw Fresh units will be commited to this area next turn & I have 2 Cavalry Corps waiting to exploit any breakthroughs

Same applies to the Stalino area. I could go on a mad rampage but all that would happen would be that I would just weaken my forces. However it may become an option if I can cause enough problems for him further North

The Crimea & the chance to slap the Rumanians around a bit. Its not a serious breakout attempt as I dont have enough units in this area to attempt that. However it may just annoy him a little bit, there is an unidentified German unit in the area so it is possible that my fun may be coming to an end

Turn 29 January 1942 The German army has suddenly got more resilliant attacks that were working on previous turns have failed miserably this turn. So I spent the turn re-organising my Armies & Fronts withdrawing tired units into reserve for refitting & replacing with fresh combat ready divisions. I hope to be able to resume offensive opperations next turn.
However there was one area in which I had some limited sucess at the Junction with the Bryansk & Southwestern Fronts I have managed to create a small hole in his line. He should be able to seal it back up but the area does seem lightly defended so it might be worth pursuing next turn to see if any advantage can be wrung from it.

Turn 30 still trying to advance 11th army has reached the outskirts of Novgorod where the XXXXI Panzer Korps has been spotted here is the Lennigrad area

The area around Moscow still re grouping my forces made some limited attacks but with little effect

The Stalino area not much happening still re building my forces in this area

Finally the Crimea still managing to dislodge the Rumanians from some of their positions but ther are not enough forces here to do much more than annoy

Turn 31
Very little to report from the Lenningrad area. Soviet Forces have managed to reconnect the rail line so I should be able to move Lenningrads remaining industry out next turn . As you can see from the screen shot there have been a couple of partisan attacks in this area. Continuing with reorganising 11th & 20th armies

In the Moscow area Army reorganisation continues 3rd Army has managed to capture Kaluga 2 tank brigades have been tasked with holding the town. Ivan Konev's 4th army from the Moscow Military district is moving forward to support Western fronts 3rd Army Kalinin Fronts 34th Army is being slowly withdrawn into reserve to re-equip

Southwesten Fronts 26th Army & the STAVKA reserve 40th Army will remain on station around Voronezh ready to exploit any breakthrough that may be acheived
