Bug or doing something wrong

I'm playing a random game and received a mercenary bases. After upgrading to Rifle II, they stopped delivering, and I cannot change the production line from level I to level II. In the production window, the production line is still set to Mercenary I, but when I go through the process to try and change the production, Mercenary II is listed, but I can't select it. Even the little box with "?" is not there. Or is this working as designed, i.e., that mercenary bases only produce before upgrading? Or am I missing a step. When I researched the Tech, I did select automatically upgrade production lines. The base is right next to my supreme HQ so it is not a distance issue, and I have tried changing HQ's, setting it to none, and then back, nothing changes. So, perhaps I missed this in the manual?

seems like a bug to me. as a work around try playing without crates. i'll add this issue to the list for the next patch. thanks for reporting it.

other workaround is not selecting "change all production lines"

Hi Vic,

Thanks for the quick reply. I figured that since the info box wasn't present, there must be a problem. This was also mentioned another posting, but there weren't any solutions offered.

When you say not selecting change all production lines, this is at upgrade, correct? Is there a way to undo that selection? Doubt it. But, If I were to upgrade to Rifle III and then not select change all production lines, do you think that might fix it?

BTW, I haven't said this, but this is a fun game. There are a few things still to be improved with the AI, but it does offer an avenue for entertainment. I kind of wish I had gotten to it sooner rather than spend all that time making graphics (which was fun too and I am working on some scenario ideas). Anyway, this random game was fun where I learned a few things about the game and got caught not planning ahead with resources, so I had an offensive stall due to lack of oil. Good job.
