Oh, Lord. Gone and done it now. Just volunteered for a public game, with AARs, with Brother Elf.

If Ian wants to boogie, I'm surely game, but I never did a public AAR before. Wouldn't mind getting some hints and help. I'm NOT one of those folks who post endless combat results, or daily "nothing happened" crap.

To me, an AAR is a report on what happened (and where and when), why it happened, what was the result from our perspective, what lessons were learned, and what doctrinal changes should be implemented to keep it from happening (or having it happen again) in the future.

I'm just a Mil puke, I'm not really a gamer; so any thoughts on presentation and such, that would appeal to this gaming community, would be most appreciated.

Don't post combat reports. Make the paragraphs as short as possible. Post as many screenshots (preferably with added graphics (arrows, etc)) as you can.
