The Intervention
My only question is-am I Chris in this video? [:D]

Ever watch that show? It was hilarious with the little things they slipped in. After this beating they gave Chris he wound up at the ER. Tony went to pick him up, and the doctor questioned him about Chris's injuries, incredulous that Chris had said he "fell off the kitchen counter spraying for ants!" Tony responded "Yeah, well, he was wearing socks."

[:D]
Of course I watched the Sopranos. No somos animalia! Great show. I personally got my chuckles out of the duality / hypocracy of it. Chris was a vicious wife-beating, drug-using, murderer. However, most of the venom reserved for him is because he killed a dog and sassed his mother. Cuz those other things just don't count. [:D]

Oh no, they're not saying we shouldn't drink water, just that it has no documented effect. Also, they've directed producers of bottle water to no longer write on their labels that water counters dehydration.

So we're in "De Nile"...

And besides, almost 98% of people who drink water will later go on to die. [X(]
Oh, everyone knows about the toxic effects of dihydrogen monoxide. Some 10,000 Americans die annually from acute intoxication. You know, there oughta be a law banning the stuff! No dihydrogen monoxide! [:-]

What slays me is how the guy survived something like 51 previous no confidence votes before getting the heave ho. Pretty impressive Machiavellian longevity. [&o]

Yes and yes.

Wife and I love manual transmissions. Drive nothing else, though she did renig and get an auto BMW. Manual shifting makes one a better driver. For sure.

Hi all,

According to the EU, drinking water doesn't counter dehydration.

Nope... AFAIK the EU regulators decided that bottled water should not carry sign "Drinking water doesn't counter dehydration"... [8D]

Yes, but in EU member states, making false claims in contravention to EU Rules on Food Content and Quality, gets you a jail term. In the UK, that's up to 2 years for claiming water eases dehydration. This conclusion was the result of a three-year investigation by EU Officials, including 21 EU approved "scientists'. A conclusion that prompted David Cameron to remark "This is stupidity writ large."

They imagine they are the cresting wave-front of the future, but they are really just the front edge of yesterdays sewage flowing downhill. L.McM.B.

Sigh. Well poopers. Accounting contacted our office. I am only allowed 17 hours for the rest of the month.[:(] Which is less than unemployment which I refuse to get. 8 months was enough. I guess I'll be getting in more hours on WitP-AE. It will be one year (30 November 2010) that I started my current game. I think I'm moving along. It is 20 February 1943. And catch up on my reading. It is reading season, to around May or whenever the weather begins to improve. This year it wasn't until the middle of June.
I may have to take a look at a couple of other architect/engineering firms. Or another line of work entirely, which could be tough after 25 years.
