Help......now that tracker is running I can`t seem to get it to read the latest turn ?

I`m overwriting wpae005 each save, and upon running tracker I just get the first turn save data from 12/11 instead of the last turn saved 12/17 ?

Tried deleating the .lb files and re-running, nope.
Tried saving a turn in wpae006, and changing the prop file with that save...nope.

Sorry to be a dope not seeing the obvious..........

R.
Yes but are you using read turn ?

Have a look at this video if you want full disclosure...

What was the saying? "Those who advertise something as ´foolproof´ underestimate the ingenuity of fools"?

Don´t worry, you´re not the only one, I´ve gotten some rather unusual problems in my time as well...

Fell into that pwsdll thingy trap as I had to reinstall my PC. Managed to find it out by reading before you changed your footer. [8D]

Still, I wonder why you don't bundle that latest file with the tracker distribution? Legal reasons?
If you gained knowledge through the forum, why not putting it into the AE wiki?

The DLL was updated after the last WitPTracker release. You can bet the coming release will have the beta DLL packaged with it.
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Not to complicate the matter, but maybe we should include both or is it now that 1106i can run using either dll? I'm not sure anymore. Also there is the extended pilot dll too ...

New (beta) DLL works with both official and beta. The new WitPTracker will work for either "normal" or "extended" pilot pool (I read in the pool size explicitly rather than keep it fixed).

Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Thanks/
Basically the same, install 32 bit java, 32 bit C++ redist and you should be good to go ... http://sites.google.com/site/witptracker/support

I've installed java and C++.

When I lauch witptracker, the database are initialized and the script stops.. "Pause" "click to continue.."

Grisouille -
sorry there is obviously a language barrier here. What I meant was can you tell me the error message from the command prompt (after initialising DB).

Image

Also, I want to know if you are using the AE beta, not the version of tracker.

You will need to delete all the trackerDB.* files and try again.

Interesting, not sure what is going on. Maybe the command prompt is not the right one.

If you can't for some reason (e.g., 64-bit system), try one of these methods:

Use the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\cmd.exe command to start the witptracker.bat file. You can make a short-cut for this by making a copy of the witptracker.bat file and change the extension to something unused (e.g., witptracker.witp) and then associate the file (using the "Open With..." dialog) to open using SysWOW64\cmd.exe.

Failing that, put this file in your tracker folder and double click it

Hi -
delete all the trackerdb files.
copy the pwsdll.dll from the /beta2 folder into the tracker folder
then run it again.

It looks like we're close here.

Off to bed - so I'll provide more support in the morning

Thanks

In the engines tab there is a warnings tab -  SY= the number of supplies at the base - but what is it warning me about?  Or is it just for info to see if i have 10000+ supplies at base?

thanks

Another question -originaly asked in the mods forum

I am playing scenario 26 as the Japanese. In tracker (they don't seem to be on the ship list in the actual game) the Mechant ship build list shows a whole bunch of 14m Type LB Daihatsu arriving at Hailar - however this isn't a port its inland near the Russian border. Is this correct? And if so how do i get them to a port?

JWE replied:
"No Daihatsus, of any knid, in any Babes scenario, has an arrival port. They all go into a virtual pool from which you may purchase them with supply. I have no idea what Tracker is doing."

I assume i can just ignore any reference to these barges in Tracker??

Thanks

This is a side-by-side error, which means that the C++ redist you installed either wasn't the correct one or you need to do a windows update.

You need the 32 bit version.

Side-by-side Error
This error message is usually because you haven’t installed the Microsoft C++ libraries
Check you have the C++ Libraries installed, if not, install the 32 bit version (even if you have a 64 bit OS).
We're unsure if you can have both the 32 and 64 bit C++ libraries available and still get the program to run, or how to configure it ... so it’s best for now just to have 32 bit for either 32 or 64 bit OS.

Generally speaking, uninstalling and reinstalling the C++ redist usually works. We've found some people having to go back to the original C++ package 95/98 and then patching up ... The x64 patch, seems to cause many problems and we'd recommend for now just trying the 32bit (x86) patch, before the 64Bit.
