Hi all,
"Green Green Grass Of Home"

The old home town looks the same as I step down from the train,
and there to meet me is my Mama and Papa.
Down the road I look and there runs Mary hair of gold and lips like cherries.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly.
It's good to touch the green, green, grass of home.
The old house is still standing, tho' the paint is cracked and dry,
and there's that old oak tree that I used to play on.

Down the lane I walk with my sweet Mary, hair of gold and lips like cherries.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.
Yes, they'll all come to meet me, arms reaching, smiling sweetly.
It's good to touch the green, green grass of home.

[spoken:]

Then I awake and look around me, at the four grey walls that surround me
and I realize, yes, I was only dreaming.
For there's a guard and there's a sad old padre -
arm in arm we'll walk at daybreak.
Again I touch the green, green grass of home.
Yes, they'll all come to see me in the shade of that old oak tree
as they lay me neath the green, green grass of home.

We went to Tom Jones concert last night in Arena Zagreb (around 8000 people)! [:)]

His voice and performance is stunning even though he is an elderly gentleman by now... [:D]

It was very very very good!!! [:)]

That's great to hear! Time and miles take their toll, and many singers' voices suffer. That makes it an extra treat when one of the older greats still has that amazing voice.

It is rather easy to pick up. A lot of fun to drive.
I learned how to drive stick shift (manual) from friends and just kind of hung on to it as a developed skillset, "just in case". It's been helpful, as I can pick it up again pretty quickly.

I've only owned one manual, a 2001 MR2 Spyder. Loved driving that thing, but it was oh-so impractical. It did have a fine gearshift.

Also, for you flatlanders, it's easy to talk about how fun driving a stick is. Not so much for Seattleites and San Franciscans and people that live on steep hills. I wouldn't want one if I lived in such places still.

bah. woosie. Hills make it even more fun! I've yet to hit anyone's front bumper while starting up from a stop on a hill. And for the downside, being able to downshift saves alot of wear and tear on the brakes.

That and the grunge hair spilling over one's forehead must make it difficult. Perhaps if you had an automatic transmission, you would have been on time, DUDE. [:'(]

Well, it was a "Subject Line Reset" tithe.  I think he just got the two confused.   [:D]

KEM, take a look at the title bar of your browser while looking at this page.  You'll see that the heretic has defaced this page.  The only way to remove that from the browser title bar is to get onto a new page.  The subject line of the first post on a page is the "title" for that page. [:)]
