Great to see the patch released!

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

I've been looking at this game for purchase. However, I never do beta patches. In WitE there can be a long time between beta and final patch version. I was thinking that the awaited patch was going to be a final version. Does anyone have an opinion on what the timeframe will be to the final version?
Thanks.

Not sure if this will follow the same pattern as last year's patch, but I believe it was roughly a month from first beta patch to final released version...but with the holidays and such, probably not a guarantee.

You should do beta patches especially now as it's the best time to check them and give feedback in case something was missed, if everything looks good I'm sure a final version will be release early next year.

Yep.  Buy it now, patch and play!

Now, if I could only fake an illness so that the wife and kids head off to the grandparents leaving me with BftB for a 4 DAY weekend.......  *sigh* a guy can dream, okay?

BTW, I own a number of Matrix titles and I have yet to feel like I have wasted money on a single game.

Should be as soon as Matrix gets out the titles they want to release for the Thanksgiving holidays (basically, Distant Worlds: Legends).

On the other hand, this is not quite a "beta" patch as in WitE "beta" patches. This is basically the REAL thing. The only difference between this beta patch and the official one is that the latter will be announced on Matrix main page (and perhaps will get the new version of the installer which parses the serial).

What is holding you back? Good price now and really can be a good game.

I think I just thought "do I really need another game" - it's only going to distract me from other games I've been meaning to play.

Still - it's early days - knowing me, the good money is on me buying it eventually...especially at £34!

Rain, rain come today,
Bought BftB n' I want to play;
May spouse and kids stay out' my way,
'cause the patch is here to make my day.
