Another question -originaly asked in the mods forum

I am playing scenario 26 as the Japanese. In tracker (they don't seem to be on the ship list in the actual game) the Mechant ship build list shows a whole bunch of 14m Type LB Daihatsu arriving at Hailar - however this isn't a port its inland near the Russian border. Is this correct? And if so how do i get them to a port?

JWE replied:
"No Daihatsus, of any knid, in any Babes scenario, has an arrival port. They all go into a virtual pool from which you may purchase them with supply. I have no idea what Tracker is doing."

I assume i can just ignore any reference to these barges in Tracker??

Thanks
You need to create them at a port (size - ???) with enough supplies as JWE stated. You can ignore them in Tracker.

Hi -
delete all the trackerdb files.
copy the pwsdll.dll from the /beta2 folder into the tracker folder
then run it again.

It looks like we're close here.

Off to bed - so I'll provide more support in the morning

Thanks
This is a side-by-side error, which means that the C++ redist you installed either wasn't the correct one or you need to do a windows update.

You need the 32 bit version.

Side-by-side Error
This error message is usually because you haven’t installed the Microsoft C++ libraries
Check you have the C++ Libraries installed, if not, install the 32 bit version (even if you have a 64 bit OS).
We're unsure if you can have both the 32 and 64 bit C++ libraries available and still get the program to run, or how to configure it ... so it’s best for now just to have 32 bit for either 32 or 64 bit OS.

Generally speaking, uninstalling and reinstalling the C++ redist usually works. We've found some people having to go back to the original C++ package 95/98 and then patching up ... The x64 patch, seems to cause many problems and we'd recommend for now just trying the 32bit (x86) patch, before the 64Bit.

Dear Damian,

Thank for your help..

Here is the C++ library installed on my PC.

Which one I shall delete?

I went to the C++ web site from the link of witptracker home page..

3 files can be downloaded .
- vcredist_IA64.exe
- vcredist_x64.exe
- vcredist_x86.exe

Which one shall I download?

Thanks

vcredistx86.exe and then do a microsoft update. But it looks like you've got what you need anyway. Uninstall and reinstall. Otherwise I'm not sure what to do at present.

Thanks

Hi all.

I just tried opening tracker after installing it on my new PC and got this error message. Java is installed in the C drive's "Program Files" folder, so I'm a bit puzzled here. Any ideas as to what is going on?

C:\Users\Owner\Downloads\WitPTracker AE Release 1.8>java -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar
"WitPTracker.jar"
'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\Users\Owner\Downloads\WitPTracker AE Release 1.8>pause
Press any key to continue . . .

Okay, I copied the java.exe file to the Tracker folder and tried again. Progress was made apparently, but I got this error message. Any ideas?

Did you try loading a turn?

See http://sites.google.com/site/witptracker/loading-turns

The database files are all of them starting with trackerdb.

Thanks Floyd. That seems to have done the trick. Tracker looks to be up and running just fine!

I swear I have never experienced such excellent "customer service" from any software I've ever used. You guys are great about helping out computer-illiterates such as myself. Thanks again.

Spent most of the day deleating the game and re-installing the game + the mods + artwork and getting Tracker to run with the offical patched game.

I`d like to keep that but also play the Beta exe. with dababes lite mod. Since they store saves in the same folder, can I assume if I just use different save slots, and change the save#s in the Tracker Propites file, tracker will read saves from both .exes?

TIA

Two copies of Tracker with different properties files pointing to the correct file name should be fine.

If it were me though - I'd have 2 versions of AE. Just copy & paste the whole folder. Make a new shortcut to the exe.

Although if I were going for one install - maybe I'd look at using http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/softwa ... jsgme.html for swapping mods and stuff.

Pretty easy to use

Thanks !

I did that per your advice, the 2nd copy tracker in the 2nd copy renamed game folder loads the correct saves just fine and with all info present, except it will not generate Alerts. I re-copied Java.exe and the Beta PLL`s file into tracker2, I`m at T 8 in the Guadalcanal scenario. Must be missing the obvious ( again )

Alerts are generated when you read in a new turn -- we compare what is in the new save compared to the old one to generate the alerts. Load a turn and if the alerts don't come, either your game is REALLY quiet or something is amiss with WitPTracker.
