attacking seperated enemy units?

Hi all,

I am new to this game and have been running the tutorial. Is there a way to attack the enemy units that scatter.
the units circled in RED will sneak back into the objective circle causing the american forces to lose the victory points unless of course I keep a larger number of forces behind.[&:]

I would like to deal with these once and for all but aside from bombard and fire orders I do not see any direct attack option.
All attack options that I have found seem to be area related. Thanks for any help!

I am sorry if this has been answered before but I have not noticed anything about it. This looks like an awesome gaming system [:)]

Jack 54 I am also very much a beginner here and you will no doubt receive more experienced advice from others---but in this situation where enemy units split up or individual units remain close, by and pose a threat, I usually give an attack order to a Company or 2 to deal with the isolated problem. Companies can react and organise much more quickly than Battalions or Brigades. You can always then reattach those Companies to the Battalion HQ subsequently.
