Construction Issues

Post by Farrels »

Hello All

Had an earthquake on my homeworld which pretty much crippled my economy for a while. I still have negative cash flow but have managed to tie this over by selling tech and keeping my rep us so everyone bribes me.

However another side effect of this has been a complete shut down of my construction capacity. I can place orders and the construction ship will go the location, but then the mining base or whatever i am building will not finish (i.e states that a number of components are unbuilt). Have also noticed that colony ships have stopped building, although i can still retrofit military ships.

So this working as intended, is this a side effect of having negi cash flow. Ive had negative cash flow before which has not crashed my construction capacity? Im playing Legends 1701

Thanks
Farrels

This is because you are missing some resources to finish that construction.
I allready notice and reported that the AI isn't building nessesary mining bases.

Okay after further investigation it would seem that my constructors havent loaded a resource required to complete the construction (in this case polymer).

However empire wide i dont have an empire wide shortage of polymer - all my spaceports are loaded up with the stuff. Im not sure why the constructor has not loaded this resource on.

Hi Eric

I had two construction jobs that wouldnt finish because the constructors didnt load up polymer (i think). I ended up cancelling one job and monitoring the constructor on its next q'd job - all went fine it loaded up all resources needed and finished the job as normal.

So as regards how long it has been going on for, it was only those two jobs.

I'll upload a save asap
