Game play ok without delayed patch?

This sequel to the award-winning Crown of Glory takes Napoleonic Grand Strategy to a whole new level. This represents a complete overhaul of the original release, including countless improvements and innovations ranging from detailed Naval combat and brigade-level Land combat to an improved AI, unit upgrades, a more detailed Strategic Map and a new simplified Economy option. More historical AND more fun than the original!

Game play ok without delayed patch?

Post by michaelincol »

I love FoF, am eager to buy whatever secret stuff Eric and Gil are working on, and in interim (a long interim..) am ready to buy COG:EE. One but - is the upcoming pended patch fixing show stopper(s) or a fine tuner? Thanks for any frank cut on it - I'd hate to buy it and have to wait for the patch to play.

Well, without the patch protectorates to properly levy troops. Also, major powers do so at a much slower rate. Other than that, I would say the game plays fairly well.

It would be nice if my reply was proofread!

Without the patch, protectorates do NOT properly levy troops. Majors do at a slower rate.

Also, this is a great (but sometimes sloooow) PBEM game.
