Playbook and tablet gamers

Just wondering what games people are playing on their tablets and playbooks. What works in the light gaming department for these dumbed down PC 's.

Bought "Star Traders" and "Angry Birds" for my Kindle Fire. Angry Birds is fun and I can see why people find it addictive on mobile devices. I just got Star Traders and it's your typical star-faring explorer adventure game. Not my favorite genre at all, but after playing about an hour I can say that it runs smoothly and seems well thought out, but it really isn't my cup of tea.

Good news is they were under a couple of bucks so nothing much lost giving something a try.

Got Tetris too and that works well on the touch screen.

Didn't buy the Fire for game playing though.

I don't yet have a tablet.

When I get one it's main role will be to act as an electronic photo album. I edit photos and will cull al, the ordinary photos so thta my audience will only see good photos. I hate it when people show poor photos!

As for games - must be thinking games such as a wargame or chess. Not interested in brainless games.

Not interested in using them to read books because you cannot mark passages.

Are you actually wanting to be able to edit the pictures on a tablet? Or do you just want a small tablet to display them? If you are looking for an inexpensive display device, the Kindle Fire would work very well for you at the lowest possible price. I expect there is probably a photo editing app out there for it too.

I assume so, it works just like a thumb drive, music goes in by folders so pictures should do the same. I'll try and put a few folders on and see how it works, I haven't done photos on it yet. I'll let you know if there are any problems.

I also use DROPbox for storing stuff, and Amazon gives you 5gigs of space online with the Fire.

Got my wife one for her birthday, she really likes it.

At first I thought you were saying the Asus Transformer was playing Matrix games and I was about to be blown away that the Android OS could play these games....

If you've looked into purchasing some sort of ebook reader until recently there were not too many viable options available. Then this website suit for you read. Ok just read at : amazon kindle

I have an Asus TF 101... really love the thing. Got my parents a Kindle Fire for Christmas wanted something a little more powerful, more storage, and still affordable and my new fiance decided her ring was so lovely she got me the TF 101... high end tablet, only $299... best value tablet on the market in my opinion and ASUS makes a great product on seemingly everything they produce!

It's nice too because I've already saved $49 in books I would have bought on paperback but got on the Kindle app.

Ya, I've bought the full versions of German Eagle vs. Russian Bear, Korean War and Rommel in Africa although I''ve only played GEvsRB. I found it to be really neat fun for a few hours of playtime while stuck on a plane. I was pleasantly surprised.
