Beginning of turn T11 stats: You know what, this doing of the stats thing twice in a row is getting tiresome. In the beginning of the game stats you have the losses that have occured during the Axis half of the turn, and with the second set of stats, the end of game stats
you get the losses that occured during the Soviet half of the turn. So that's why I do them twice. So which would you rather see? The
Axis caused losses or the Soviet caused losses? But on the other hand it might be important to the playtesters to see both figures. I'll
just keep doing them twice.

I'm through moving the units.......I did the bombing first and THEN moved the ground units and I had less interception happening. I'll
have to remember to do it that way from now on. I thought I'd rail the Armament Points out of D-town while I still had the chance.

I don't remember seeing anybody on this island lately so I'm guessing they routed and one is already recovered from rout and now they
are holding a port behind enemy lines. How long will they last before the Axis sends somebody to investigate? We'll see.

Larry,
you are CRUsHING the ai..
I'm thinking maybe I might just pull this one off. I'm trying to balance letting the Axis dull their swords ( the strength of the Axis army
is probably decreasing maybe as they loose more and more people ) as I snap my fingers and summon up even more troops for the
reserve army. Elmer wasn't quite fast enough in turning loose the Armour and didn't create pockets every turn and stuff like that.....
stuff a human would do. So yeah, it's a fun game so far. I'm trying to back up JUSSSST fast enough to save the semblence of a
front line with letting the Axis hurt itself. I'm pumping in about 250K troops every week and he's killing about ....... well, less than that

So my Army is getting bigger faster than I'm loosing troops. My army is getting stronger while his gets weaker. I wish this deliberate
putting troops in harm's way with all the increased losses it entails is worth it in the long run. My problem as General is to make the
Axis loose troops faster than he can replace them, long enough for it to make a difference, so that I can go on the offensive.....like in
November or so. After all the mud turns.

ORIGINAL: freeboy
.... might want to stop moving industry from cities that are not thatened?
I'm feeling like I have all the time in the world sometimes. Somebody pinch me and make me wake up. I really, really need to zoom out
to see all the map before I just willy nilly rail something at random. I think you're correct and adjustments are being made.
ORIGINAL: freeboy
great read.. very helpful as I learn the ropes for red army use..
Um......you might more profitably spend your time reading the AAR of a real live Soviet expert. I'm just a bozo who tends to post his
every thought. While playing a fun game. I'm leaving a lot out to make it kind of 'move along' but I'm hoping the animated maps will
tell the tale pretty good. The stats need some reading between the lines when you don't know the specific action that caused what
loss. I like playing the AI just to 'watch the movie' as the AI goes through it's moves. I've started calling him Elmer after the AI in TOAW
that is pretty good but not, I think, quite this good. It does make pockets sometimes, I've seen some in this game, but after the first
six or seven turns there were no more major pockets. He likes to advance units past the flanks of Soviet units when gaps appear in
the front line. Like water flowing, taking the path of least resistance. The quickest path. It's ruthless. Sometimes thoughtless, if you
know what I mean. I've seen HQ units on the front line within range of Soviet units who might decide to sacrifice itself by moving into
the maw of the beast just to make an Axis HQ 'rout'.
ORIGINAL: freeboy
thanks
Better thanks might be to post an AAR of your own. Do you have one already? I forget who has posted and who has not.
And I find that before I do something that somebody is going to read about I tend to think about it more than if I was just 'beer-and-pretzel-ing-it' with little reguard to the little things that make the process hum. You DO know why the process hummms, right?
It's because the process doesn't know the words. Just a little moment of Zen for you.

I just realized that I forgot to take a 'before' shot to show the Axis moves.  Now, as it is now, the Axis AND Soviets are going to move.  Same information at the same
time from both sides.  It's confusing but I'll put the animation together just to see what it looks like.  I've not seen one where they both move simultaneously.

This is me spending about 250 AP's buying SU's for the Army HQ's so that they each have a separate tank brigade, two or three arty
tubes, 2 RR engineers or at least sappers, a mortar brigade, a heavy mortar unit, a light rocket regiment, and one of those MG-ARTY
units. That ought to stiffen the Soviet line a little. I'm probably going to need to keep falling back for another turn or two. It's only
September now and isn't really getting all that cold yet. Winter is a long way off. Wait, there's some two or three mud turns. Soon.

EDIT: I completely forgot to explain the picture of destroyed units. Um.......to get better organized I went through the Army HQ's and
disbanded the AA units and Motorcycle units because I want the game engine choices limited to the better SU's ( Arty, tanks, mortars,
etc. ).

I actually lost fewer planes than the Axis did.  That is probably a fluke.  I'm thinking that I'm going to go after the Axis fighters AFTER this bombing of ground units is overwith.  I'm using the bombers to do ground support ( bombing of ground units instead of air bases ) right now but after the front line stabilizes somewhat and I think maybe I can spare the bombers I'll do a bunch of fighter sweeps and a lot of recon to find those bases where the fighters are and if it's not too hot I'll go after 'em with the bombers.

Here's the T13 Soviet moves:

EDIT: This animation looks like I skipped something in the south. Lemme investigate and get back to you on this picture.

Edit 2: Okie dokie....I believe I've got the right combination of images. This is showing the Axis AND the Soviet moves.
