Supplies

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Supplies

Post by JudgeDredd »

I noticed a unit asking for emergency resupply so had a look at it's supply levels - and thought it was pretty well stocked - so it made me wonder why it wanted emergency resupply.

I then noticed that they had received their resupply - so went to look to see what levels they had received - and didn't notice any difference...but I hadn't taken any pictures - so I thought maybe I had missed something.

Anyway - I noticed the same unit requesting emergency supplies (in the same day) and went to the unit and took a picture - and as you can see, it's levels are not that low - so again...why requesting emergency supplies?

As you can see from the pictures - the top one shows the supplies being requested and the supply levels - and the bottom one shows the supplies being delivered and the supply levels - and apart from an increase of 6 in Basics - there is absolutely no change.

Can someone please explain to me
a) why a unit that seems pretty well stocked is requesting emergency supplies? and
b) why it received an increase of 6 basics?

It doesn't seem right to me. I've been watching this unit and it's supply levels change very little - so I'm wondering why it's asking for supplies at all, let alone emergency supplies - in fact I've reloaded the scenario and at the start, it has 1/3rd more supplies of each item (roughly) - so it's only actually used 1/3rd supplies in 24 hours...

Yea this has always been a bit cryptic, but it was never much of a concern during beta-testing so it may have slipped through the fix-it net.

It is one of those annoying little things though... so I eventually turn on only urgent messaging.[;)]

Maybe it is to do with the lack of 57mm AP rounds and it's failing to check if indeed it still has any weapons capable of firing them. I'll look into it.

Yeah - could be it's requesting emergency supplies because there is 0 ammo for the 57 - that would make sense - though, as you point out, it should be able to tell it doesn't actually need any because the unit has no operable 57s

It will be an easy fix if that is the issue.
