Troop invasion question

Post by Farrels »

In my latest game on 1704 im attacking the Gizuran homeworld. However the invasion is going south so have subjugated them instead.

My question is is how do i get my troops off their world and back onto the transports. I cannot find an option to do this, whats more my troops are still fighting ( and dieing) even though ive signed a treaty with them?

Thanks

You cannot load troops when they are fighting. You left those troops to die.

They are probably still fighting, and if successful will conquer the colony. That did sound like a likely outcome, though.

In RotS I have made peace while my troops where still fighting over a colony they had invaded. They disappeared, so unless this has been changed I expect they surrender.
While the battles the British fight may differ in the widest possible ways, they invariably have two common characteristics – they are always fought uphill and always at the junction of two or more map sheets.

Okay thanks

Seems kind of harsh that once a treaty is signed 1000s of troops are left to rot. A withdraw mechanic would be nice

In ROTS I have signed peace while my homeworld was attacked, and lost the homeworld after the war ended since fighting went on (I did not notice they had put troops down).

Maybe it was a bad timing so in fact a sneak attack, but...
