? on three games

Post by freeboy »

I own DW, but not the two expansions
is it a correct understanding that if I buy RTS and legends, they both can be played seperte from one another? I am not too sure about Legends yet but will probably get it..
thanks guys for more fun toys!

Uaah... I'm no expert. Maybe you can make separate installs.

As far as i know there is no reason to run the expansions separately. Each expansion adds funtionality and event options.
When starting a new game you simply choose if you want the events from RotS and so on.

Anyway, i'm sure someone will provide a far better answer really soon.

If you get the expansions they are just that, expand onto the maingame and not seperate entities in themselves. However you can enable/disable some things like the Shakturi if you so choose.
Grabbed both expansions myself now that Legends was released and can't really stress enough just how much they add to the enjoyment of the game, still some minor issues but Elliot's doing a great job fixing them quickly.

back to your initial question, the answer is yes....in order to get back to rots you'd have to reinstall. But I'm glad that is no longer a concern, yet another victim made by Elliot [:)]
...Igniting stellar cores....Recharging reactors...Recalibrating hyperdrives....

I have DW.

Do you have to get RotS and Legends in order to play just Legends?
The Legends product info is not too clear.

Under Features it says
Please note: Distant Worlds Legends REQUIRES ownership of the original full Distant Worlds game.

But under Product Info it says
Please note: Distant Worlds – Legends REQUIRES ownership of the original full Distant Worlds game, including the Return of the Shakturi expansion.

You need both DW and Rots for Legends.
